Why crash diets crash & burn!♥

Everyone has that one friend who always says ‘ I’m starting monday!’

I refuse to encourage it anymore or acknowledge it.

This is why in my intro I mentioned I wasn’t all for encouraging one stone weight lose within ONE week!

Crash diets rarely work because they try to fool the body, but the body doesn’t buy it. Rapid weight loss diets invariably fail because they are metabolically unsound, often unsafe, and just plain don’t work for these reasons: Crash diets don’t reset the fat point.

YOU NAME A DIET, I’VE DONE IT !

From grapefruit to the Hollywood, I’ve done the lot.

(WASTE OF TIME, ENERGY, EFFORT & MONEY!!)

If you’re unaware of what a crash diet is then this is my definition; A crash diet is a method to lose weight really fast in a short period of time, by reducing the daily calorie intake to as low as 700 calories a day. ( Practically starving!)

Unfortunately for anyone longing for results by next weekend, Crash dieting can work, but there is a threshold. It’s a physiological fact that the human body is capable of losing only a maximum of about three pounds of actual fat per week, even if you eat nothing at all. (SHORT TERM FIXES AREN’T THE ANSWER!!)

I only encourage a crash diet for a MAX of 3 days e.g before a holiday and a holiday only! A cheeky juice detox won’t be harmful but please be aware that fruit is full of sugar! regardless to the fact that its ‘natural.’ So you may not benefit from it within the long run.

Anything substantial takes time patience is the best key for any lifestyle change or improvement.

Enjoy,
